Satay is very popular for indonesian. although the cooking time is rather long, but the buyer remains patiently in waiting. usually the chicken satay is the most cheap compared to sheep satay or beef satay. usually satay is served with lontong, pickles, soy sauce and peanut sauce.

Tempeh is rich in protein. a lot of Indonesian food menus made from tempeh. this food is people's food. tempeh is the source of protein for the population. so the price cheap. tempeh can be processed by frying, and soup. Many tempeh are sold in stalls in Indonesia. even soybean pulp in tofu is processed into tempeh, which the nutritional level is below ordinary tempeh. but it tastes more tender and the spices can absorbed better. Tempe cannot be stored for long time because every fermented food will experience decay. even so there are some people who making soup with old tempeh it doesn't taste well but somebody likes it.
